It may have been days or years since your last visit but as
alumni of Delta Sigma Phi, you are always welcome. As alumni,
we realize your interests range from chapter updates to volunteer
opportunities to alumni gatherings. We have designed this site
with all your interests in mind.
Gentlemen of Epsilon Lambda - Some Important News,
As you are aware Northwest Missouri was hit pretty hard with the ice storm this
first of December. Campus lost 65 plus trees due to the damage, and we had over
2 million of damage to the state arboretum, which we are. Anyways, we are planting
new ones in April to replace the ones lost. I know that when Doc passed away
we had talked about donating a tree to campus in his name. For one reason or
another that ball was dropped, but I think it would be nice to get the idea rolling
again. I don't have the alumni email list but the ones I have talked to were
more than willing to donate $20-$25 towards this. It is a $300 per tree donation,
which includes a plaque and tree maintenance for the life of the tree. I know
Doc was a mentor, not only to the Delta Sig's, but to any student that went here.
If we could get a mass email going to put the word out I am sure the guys would
send a check, if Mike doesn't mind putting out his address to send them to. Originally
we talked about donating a bench as well, so if we can get enough people maybe
that would be possible to. Anything left over could go into the Alumni Account,
because we haven't had any fundraisers except the golf tournament for the last
few years. What are your thoughts? Please reply all with your comments, so everyone
is one the same page.

Danny Smith
